Black Crowes First Album and Tour in Seven Years

According to Reuters, the Black Crowes will be launching a tour and a new studio album for the first time in seven years.

The band will kick off their tour on Sunday in Sayreville, New Jersey to promote their latest album, Warpaint, which is set to be released March 4.

The Black Crowes' last album, Lions, was released in 2001, after which the group broke up and reunited in 2005.

"I feel the band has been very good the last few years, even with all the changes and things," band leader Chris Robinson said. "We've done a lot of different things, really opened it up, played a lot of catalog, played a lot of covers. We've hit a lot of things musically that I think were interesting for us."

Band members include Robinson as the lead with his younger brother Rich as the guitarist, Sven Pipien as the bassist and Steve Gorman as the drummer. The band's newest members are guitarist Luther Dickinson and keyboardist Adam MacDougall.

After the band's U.S. tour ends, they will move on to Australia and New Zealand, where they have not performed since 1991, according to Reuters.
