The Black Eyed Peas are set to perform at the Michael Jackson tribute next month.
The R&B group announced on Friday they would pay their respect to the late pop icon at the event, according to MTV.com.
Will.i.am, co-founder of the grammy-award winning ensemble, said the show will be “an incredibly personal and moving evening” for him.
The rapper spent a lot of time in the studio with the “Thriller” star before his death in 2009.
“Remember that Michael's music, his great, great songs, have been an inspiration to my whole life and certainly formed the soundtrack to my childhood,” he said in a statement.
The star-studded concert dedicated to Jackson will be hosted by Jamie Foxx at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on Oct. 8, according to AceShowBiz.
The Black Eyed Peas will join a long list of other featured performers including Smokey Robinson, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Christina Aguilera, and Leona Lewis.
