The Black Eyed Peas have launched a video dance game called “The Black Eyed Peas Experience.” While at the launch party, band member Taboo confirmed they were taking a break from recording music together but denied a break-up.
"We are not breaking up," Taboo told Reuters. His story is consistent with that of fellow band member Will.i.am, when he told Ellen DeGeneres that taking a break is like a normal routine for the successful band.
The interview, which will air on Wednesday, features Will.i.am telling the daytime host that the Black Eyed Peas "always have two cycles of records and then we take a break."
"When we take breaks you know, we work on side projects and get our personal stuff in order to then come back and make beautiful music," he added.
Indeed, they will do personal projects. Apl.de.ap, real name Allan Lindo, Jr., will serve as ambassador of education in the Philippines, all four of them will venture out on solo projects, and Fergie is working on her fragrance and shoe collections.
Billboard reports that the band’s game, which was released November 8 for Wii and Xbox360 in North America, gives fans a chance to dance with the Black Eyed Peas.
The game allows users to dance with the band’s songs such as “I Gotta Feeling," "My Humps," and “Boom Boom Pow.”
