Transformers star and Minot, North Dakota native, Josh Duhamel, hosted a benefit concert for the flood-ravaged town on Saturday, with the Black Eyed Peas as the headline act. Early estimates say that the concert raised a whopping $1.3 million for rebuilding.

The money will go to the Minot Area Community Foundation, which was helped out by Duhamel, who is married to Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, according to The Associated Press. The proceeds will help the nearly 11,000 people forced out of their homes to rebuild.

Nearly 16,000 fans attended the show, breaking an attendance record set last year by KISS, reported E! News.

Duhamel was greatly appreciative for the band’s support, tweeting “A HUGE thank you to @iamwill, @TabBep, @apl_de & #Fergie for their incredible act of kindness for doing #MinotRising. North Dakota loves you.”

Band member Will.i.am added that he was more than happy to help out, writing, “@joshduhamel i.am proud to support #MinotRising...this is what its all about..."Americans helping americans" one neighborhood United States.”
