Bo Bice Rushed to Hospital for Emergency Surgery
Bice backs out of remainder of "American Idols Live!" shows to recuperate
American Idol runner-up, hard rocking Bo Bice, was rushed to the hospital Saturday night after experiencing extreme pain during an "American Idols Live!" tour in Las Vegas. Moments before Bice was supposed to take the stage an ambulance took him away. Bice underwent emergency surgery to clear a blocked intestine later that night. There is no word yet as to what caused the life-threatening blockage. Bice is expected to make a full recovery but will not be finishing out the tour as doctors have recommended six weeks of rest. This surgery adds to what has been a month of bad luck for Bice, who was in the hospital just three weeks ago after breaking his foot onstage.
