Bob Dylan Announces a New Album and Headlining Slot at Rothbury
Bob Dylan has announced that he will be releasing a new studio album, his first new release in almost three years, according to E! Online. The new studio album, titled Together Through Life, will be released on April 28. The album is being released on Columbia Records. Dylan also produced the album using the pseudonym Jack Frost. Together Through Life is Dylan's 33rd studio album and his 45th overall.
Dylan was also secured as a headliner for the Rothbury Festival. The festival, which takes place in northern Michigan, is scheduled to go on from July 2-5. Headliners other than Dylan who have been announced include: Gov't. Mule, Les Claypool, Guster, G. Love & Special Sauce, Matisyahu, Nas and Ani DiFranco. The four-day concert series will take place at the Double JJ Ranch. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday at noon.
Dylan was awarded a Pulitzer Prize last year for his contributions to American music and culture.
