Bob Dylan To Exhibit New Paintings

Bob Dylan will exhibit his artwork in a Denmark museum next year.

Denmark's National Gallery, in Copenhagen, will plan to exhibit nearly 100 works by singer-songwriter, Bob Dylan. The exhibition is planned to open fall 2010. The collection will show case new, never before seen, paintings Dylan is currently working on. The show will include 30 acrylic paintings from Dylan's "Brazil Series," and some paintings from "Bob Dylan The Drawn Blank Series" previously shown in Britain and Germany.
Museum spokesman Jakob Fibiger Andreasen toldThe Associated Press, "There are clearly roots" to French artist Henri Matisse in Dylan's works and do to the large collection of Matisse paintings the gallery has, it is understandable why he would like to display his work at the museum.
