Bob Dylan Spreads Christmas Cheer
Bob Dylan's new album "Christmas in the Heart" is a collection of Christmas carols and yuletide songs. All proceeds from this album will go to different charities that support the homeless and the hungry throughout the United States, Britain, and 80 poor countries.
Dylan hand-picked which charities would get the proceeds, and the reason he picked certain charities over others is because they get the food straight to the people in need.
Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, said that although he was Jewish, Christmas songs were just "part of my life," in an interview with The Big Issue magazine in Britain. "Everybody can relate to it in their own way," he answered when asked why Christmas had the best songs.
Dylan says he is a "true believer," and he is showing the world that by helping the homeless and hungry this holiday season.
