Bon Jovi Guitarist Drinks and Drives
According to Reuters, Richie Sambora, guitarist for Bon Jovi, was charged Tuesday for a drunk driving incident which occurred in Laguna Beach on March 25. Laguna Beach police pulled over Sambora for weaving across lanes in his black Hummer and arrested him after it was determined he had a blood alcohol level of 0.13 percent. Three female passengers were in his vehicle, two of which were minors.
Sambora, 49, was prosecuted in Orange County and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level above California's legal limit of 0.08 percent.
The rocker faces up to six months in jail if found guilty and must appear in court on May 7 for his arraignment.
Prosecutors attempted to charge Sambora with child endangerment because of the minors in his car. Although the three females have not been publicly identified, Sambora does have a 10-year-old daughter with actress Heather Locklear.
