Bond 22 Gets a Director

The new James Bond movie, Bond 22, will be directed by Marc Forster.

James Bond is one of the most beloved characters in film history. The character started in novels, written by Ian Fleming in 1952. His story has been the subject of over twenty feature films being played by a total of six actors over the years. The next installment of the James Bond franchise, "Bond 22," has officially signed a director. Marc Forster was rumored to be the director for a few weeks, but it has now become official. Paul Haggis will rewrite a screenplay by Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, like he did for "Casino Royale." Foster is expected to begin work on the movie shortly. Daniel Craig, who made his debut as 007 in "Casino Royale," will return to his slick suits and debonair ways in the 22nd film. Some of Forster's credits include "Finding Neverland," "Stay," "Stranger Than Fiction" and the upcoming "The Kite Runner." "Bond 22" will begin shooting at the end of the year or early next year and it will open in theaters sometime in November 2008.
