Bono and others are nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize

Irish rocker Sir Bob Geldof and famed U2 lead singer Bono are both nominated for the much desired 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. Geldof, who is known from the Boomtown Rats, is nominated for his organization of last year's Live 8 show. Bono is nominated because of his long-time work with human's rights. The rockers are joined by former US Secretary of State Colin Powell, for his efforts to halt civil war in the Sudan. Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York mayor, is also in the list of nominees.
