Borat dominates box office again
Sasha Baron Cohen's "Borat" dominated the box office again this past weekend bringin in $29 million. Since its opening 10 days ago, the movie has brought in $67.8 million.
Bruce Snyder, head of distribution for 20th Century Fox defended the company's decision to open "Borat" in a smaller number of theaters when many have said the movie could have made much more if it was distributed more widely.
"When a picture takes off like this, you can do it any way you want and you can't screw it up, quite honestly, when a picture becomes a part of the culture like this," Snyder told the AP.
The number two and three spots remained unchanged from last weekend; "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause" brought in $16.9 million and "Flushed Away" brought in $16.7
Will Farrell's "Stranger Then Fiction" had the best showing of the new releases finishing fourth with $14.1 million.
