Box Office Results
Although a slew of new movies opened this weekend, the top two positions at the box office remained the same as last week.
Blades of Glory, the comedy starring Will Ferrell and Jon Heder, had another strong weekend making $23 million, bringing their two-week total to $68.4 million.
Coming in at number two was the family film, Meet the Robinsons, with $17 million. This brings the animated films two-week total to a respectable $52.2 million.
The first new movie to make an appearance in the top ten was Are We Done Yet?, the sequel to the 2005 film, Are We There Yet? Both films star rapper-turned-actor, Ice Cube, who has proven to be quite a box office gem, as his new film made $15 million over the weekend.
The biggest surprise at the box office this week was the double feature from directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, Grindhouse. Anticipated by many to be the top moneymaker this weekend, it came in at a disappointing fourth place, making a mere $11.6 million.
Rounding out the top ten were The Reaping, 300, Wild Hogs, Shooter, TMNT, and Firehouse Dog.
