Boyle plans to resume tour in Glasgow

Susan Boyle will continue touring after pulling out on Sunday.

After canceling two concerts of the "Britain's Got Talent" tour in Manchester on Sunday, Susan Boyle, the television show's runner-up, is still scheduled to perform in Glasgow, a spokesman said.

According to BBC News, Boyle was advised to rest on Sunday rather than perform in the Manchester Evening News Arena. She sang in Birmingham on Friday and in Sheffield on Saturday.

The Associated Press reports that Boyle had received standing ovations at previous concerts prior to Sunday's cancellations.

Other finalists from the popular show joined the 48-year-old Scottish singer on the tour, which started in June, according to Reuters. Her next performance is on Monday night, said a tour spokeswoman.

In the meantime, Boyle is coping with her newfound rise to fame. Reuters reports that her first performance on "Britain's Got Talent" made her a celebrity worldwide, and was downloaded about 200 million times online.

When the tour is finished, Boyle is scheduled to record an album that will be released by Christmas, Reuters reports.
