Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie already raise six kids together, so why have they been waiting to get married?

According to UPI, the couple has been waiting for all people to be able to get married, in their stride to support gay marriage rights.

Pitt told The Hollywood Reporter that the couple does in fact want to get married. "We'd actually like to [get married]...and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."

He went on further to say, "but to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous." It seems that the actor has a lot to say about gay marriage rights, and is in full support of the gay community.

The Daily News reports that Pitt had no comment when asked if he had already preposed to Jolie.

It is good to see that the couple has made an effort to support gay rights.
