Brad Pitt defends his marriage decision
Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are an A-list power couple with six children, Pitt maintains his reason for not getting married despite avid criticism. Msnbc.com reports that Pitt answered a question that asked when he and Jolie were to tie the knot, to which he replied, "Maybe we'll get married when it's legal from everyone else." He was speaking of course of the rights denied to gay couples in most states. Pitt maintained that although some people may believe that gay marriage disrupts the state of the family, he himself knows of many functional and loving couples who are raising stable children, and that even his union is being attacked.
E! Online recollects a statement Pitt made about the importance of family, in whatever form; "I don't know who or what is meant to be in my life, but this is certainly where I want to be. Here with them."
