Brazilian Model Passes Away from Septicemia
Brazilian model Mariana Bridi da Costra, just recently died from septicemia, after having both her hands and legs amputated.
Mariana Bridi da Costra, a 20-year-old model from Brazil, just recently passed away due to septicemia after having to have her hands and feet amputated. CNN reports she was initially misdiagnosed with kidney stones, but when doctors found out she had septicemia, it was too late as they had to amputate both arms, and legs.
Da Costa placed sixth in the Miss Bikini International competition in China last year. She was also a finalist in the Brazilian stage of the Miss World pageant in 2007 and 2008.
