Breaking News: DJ AM Found Dead

Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, was found dead in his New York City apartment at about 5:20 p.m. Eastern time.

While at this time there aren't many details about his death, NYC police confirmed that when the body was discovered, there was drug paraphernalia by it.

TMZ is reporting that DJ AM has not been seen or heard from in days and that a friend of his went to go see him at his apartment but had not gotten an answer. The friend then called the police, and they came, knocked down the door and found his body.

Last November, DJ AM and friend Travis Barker were in a horrific plane crash in South Carolina which claimed the lives of four people. DJ AM and Barker were the only survivors.

Goldstein just finished a MTV series in which he opens up about his substance abuse problems and struggles to get clean.

At the time of his death, he was 36 years old.
