Bret Chooses His Rock of Love: Finale Recap
We've finally made it to the final episode with the girl who was almost sent home in the first episode and the girl who was a VIP from the start. Will Bret choose the good girl who lied about her age in Ambre or the rocker chick who lives with her boyfriend, Daisy? Read on and find out who Bret chose.
Bret took the girls to Cancun for a little romantic getaway. To start the romance, they had a nice little dinner for three. At the dinner, Daisy pulled out a list of questions for Bret to answer, but I don't think she even asked one. The topic of the physical attraction between Bret and Daisy started and it led to the question of whether or not she has anything up in her head. Then it went to whether or not Ambre really wants Bret or the new experience that love with Bret would bring. None of the problems were resolved by the end of the meal but each girl was promised a day with Bret.
To start the day, Daisy attempted to psych Ambre out by telling her that Ambre doesn't feel sexy. This just made Ambre want to win even more, and on the date, Ambre attempted to up her sexiness. Bret takes her on a rain forest tour and then for massages. Halfway through the massage, Ambre decided to jump on Bret and massage him, which led to some PG-13 making out. At lunch, Bret and Ambre get down to talking about love, adventures, and comparing her and Daisy. In her "confessional," Ambre revealed that she is absolutely in love with Bret.
In between coming back and dinner, Ambre and Daisy had yet another tiff, where a lot of "dudes" and "I don't cares" and a "bitch" or two were thrown around.
Ambre changed her focus and her clothes and went down to Bret. At dinner, Ambre received a necklace from Bret. And Bret received the lovely comment, "I'm not wearing any underwear" and a peep show from Ambre. What went on after the cameras disappeared is only up to your imagination. The morning after revealed some stripping had to go on as Bret was missing his bandana as he said goodbye.
Daisy waited in the wings for Ambre to return and spent a little time speaking of her excitement for her date. Then she met Bret on a boat to go on their date. The talking the two of them do only confuses Bret as he can't seem to answer a single question. They take a break from talking to do some sightseeing on the boat's bow. However, Daisy gets seasick, which ruins Bret's fishing plans. When they get back, it is decided to forego anything else and meet for dinner.
Bret started the dinner with giving Daisy a necklace, which seems familiar. He went on to explain that he really wants Daisy in his life. Daisy went on to tell him that Ambre is not right for him and that he's awesome . . . yes, she said awesome. Then she declared her love and Bret revealed that maybe Daisy is the one for him. They spend the night together much like Ambre and him did the night before.
When Daisy returned to the room, Ambre can't take the silence and attempted talking to Daisy and we learn that Daisy is offended by being called a stripper, even though that's her job, and Ambre is some sort of TV Host. Then the girls went on a spa day and a montage of their moments on the show play to fill up the extra half hour. Bret, meanwhile, spent time walking on the beach, with his jeans on. And he has his own montages with both girls where he just talked about the same stuff again: Ambre's great but might not get his lifestyle. Daisy is sexy but might be too immature.
The elimination started with both girls close to tears waiting for Bret who came out looking sharp in a tux. He once again reiterated the same information about the two girls, but this time to their faces. Daisy was called to Bret first and he told her, he cares and loves her but . . . there's a but! He told her, "This tour ends here."
He chose Ambre! I have to admit as a viewer I was surprised but happy because Ambre seemed like the better choice for him. They hug and looked so cute together and I hope that she is his Rock of Love at least until next season.
