Brian May Wants Adam Lambert to Join Queen
Adam Lambert's Idol performance of "We Are the Champions" may actually become a rock-n-roll reality. Although nothing is set in stone, according to Entertainment Weekly, Brian May, of Queen, stated that he and drummer Roger Taylor are "definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him (Lambert) at one point." May went on to state, "I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."
May does want to work with Lambert in the future but reports said the guitarist wanted to clarify rumors that Lambert had already been picked up as Queen's new front man. "It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It's not that easy," May confirmed.
MSNBC did verify that Queen's guitarist is looking forward to seeing what happens with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. May said, "I'm confident Adam will make great use of this wonderful opportunity." He added, "I hope I'm there to see it."
