Bridget Moynahan Strict on Brady's Involvement with Baby

Just because he fathered her baby doesn't mean Bridget Moynahan wants anything to do with him. Bad blood simmers between celebrity ex-couple Moynahan and Patriot quarterback Tom Brady. And the birth of their child last week has apparently not erased the tension. Actress and former model Moynahan gave birth last week to a perfectly healthy and happy baby boy, according to sources. Brady was reported to have flown in on a private jet for the event. (He was apparently given the green light from his coach to miss out on team practice for the big day.)

Despite the happy occasion, a source close to the stars reveals that the bad blood remains. "Tom was only allowed to see the baby for a short time. Bridget would not see him herself." Meanwhile, Moynahan's publicist released a statement: "Bridget is very thankful for a happy baby, excited about being a mother, and very pleased that the father, Tom Brady, was able to be there for the birth." The snitch's account tells a different tale, however. "He was only allowed to come after the baby was born. The woman would not see him, period. And she gave the baby her last name." Moynahan has christened the baby John Edward Thomas Moynahan. The source continues, "Tom is waiting to find out when he can see the little guy again. Bridget is not giving him any slack on this at all."

Moynahan's publicist maintains that the new mom and dad are on great terms. "Bridget and Tom are on speaking terms and have the best interests of the child at heart." The publicist could not, however, confirm whether Brady actually attended the birth itself.
