The Dancing with the Stars production office had to evacuate the Los Angeles studio Friday evening after receiving a letter with white powder, according to PEOPLE.

"Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel," says a rep for CBS, whose studios are used to film the show. "Ultimately we were advised by the [Los Angeles Fire Department] that the substance was determined to be talcum powder."

Internet reports say that the letter may have been addressed to Dancing with the Stars contestant Bristol Palin, who has stirred a controversy among the public upon going to the finals of the show despite receiving the lowest scores. The FBI did not comment on those reports.

"Just as in any case, we don't confirm the identity of a victim based on privacy and security concerns," says FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

None of the other celebrity contestants were rehearsing at the studio when the scare happened.
