Bristol Palin Talks to Jay Leno about ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and Levi Johnston

Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, sat down with late night host Jay Leno Friday to talk about her upcoming stint on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and the father of her child Tripp, Levi Johnston. The young couple was engaged and then broke it off shortly after their baby was born.

They were recently engaged again, but broke it off. Of Johnston, the 19 year-old said, “I’m not disappointed, not heartbroken. I tried to make it work for my son, it didn’t work and I realized we’re not meant to be.”

In regards to Johnston's reality show aspirations, Bristol told Jay, “The guy I fell in love with was a hardworking Alaskan man that didn’t want to wear straight-legged jeans and boots and be chased by Radar. It’s a night and day difference and it’s sad to watch.”

Levi also intends to run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. Bristol’s response: “He needs to get his GED," she said with a laugh.

Bristol is paired with Mark Ballas on this season of Dancing with the Stars. She confessed that she is anxious about it as she doesn’t have prior experience, but was an athlete in high school.
