The Circus live from New Orleans

Last night, the Princess of Pop reigned again as Britney Spears started up her tour, "The Circus Starring Britney Spears," in New Orleans, just miles away from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Her official site had a live blog going for those of us who couldn't be there. All through the show, there were updates via text, pictures and Twitter from fans lucky enough to be seeing Britney in the flesh.

It was reported that the opening act, the Pussycat Dolls, went on at 6:00, circus performers doing tricks showed up at 7:00 and Britney appeared on stage at 7:30. Some of the other entries include, "To all the critics she looks amazing and is very much singing live," "Ninjas performing to a Gimme More remix," "Me Against the Music . . . Bollywood style" and "Her energy is so high!"

After an encore, Britney signed off at 9:00, leaving her fans disappointed that it was over, but thrilled that they had just seen their idol perform an amazing show.
