Britney Spears and Joel Madden?

Britney Spears has denied the rumors that she is dating Paris Hilton's ex, Benji Madden, reported E! Online. Earlier this week, In Touch announced that Spears had been secretly dating the "Good Charlotte" musician. The article went further to state that the relationship had been brainstormed by Jamie Spears and manager Larry Rudolph to create a new image for the Circus pop star, and that other suitable companions for the singer were Chace Crawford, Jesse Metcalfe, and Michael Phelps.

Britney Spears's reps have denied this accusation, saying, "The claims made by In Touch are completely false. There is not an ounce of truth to any of it."

As if further proof was needed, Benji Madden spent Monday evening at the D&G store opening with Paris Hilton, and they were seen partying at Christina Aguilera's birthday party later Thursday night. Meanwhile, Spears is just returning from a trip to Tokyo to promote her new album, Circus.
