Britney Spears Causes Controversy in Australia
Britney Spears stirs controversy after lip-synching during a performance in Australia, CNN reported.
Fans were angry when Spears began lip-synching during her performance at the Australian concert.
Fans stormed out of the Perth Burswood Dome in Australia three songs into the performance, complaining of Spears lip-synching and their inability to watch her on the big screens onstage.
The minister for fair-trading for New South Wales, Australia, Virginia Judge is considering requiring artists to include a disclaimer on the tickets if part of the show will be pre-taped.
Fans paid a range from $200 to $1,500 AUD to attend the concert at the Dome and angrily stormed out before the fourth song.
Judge told Australian newspapers the Australians would not tolerate "Mickey Mouse performances" referring to the lip-synching Spears did at her concert.
The concert was the first performance of 14 in Australia, Spears is making on her tour for "Circus."
