Britney Spears Gets Animated

Singer is an animated superhero in new music video.

According to Reuters, singer Britney Spears releases a new music video on Wednesday where she is an animated superhero in a futuristic world. The video will premiere on the Web site www.BlackoutBall.com at 6:30 p.m. EDT and accompanies "Break the Ice," the third and latest single from her 2007 album, Blackout. Spears's Jive record company said the music video was made in South Korea in the style of Japanese anime.

Spears will also make an appearance--in live, 3-D form--on the CBS comedy, How I Met Your Mother. Television executives said on Monday that Spears has been cast in an episode of the series, and it is expected to air March 24. Insiders say Spears's role is a receptionist in a doctor's office.

This will not be the first time Spears has been a guest star on a U.S. television comedy series. In March 2006, she played a Christian conservative talk show host on an episode of Will & Grace.
