Britney Spears to Guest Star on Episode of 'Glee'

Britney Spears will make an appearance on Glee during an episode that will air next season. The creator of the show, Ryan Murphy, confirmed Tuesday that the singer will guest star on the FOX program.

“Britney, I think 100 percent, is going to be on the episode,” Murphy said during Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

The cast members are excited to work with Spears and perform her songs on the set of Glee.

“I get to do Britney Spears! I'm hearing rumors from other people that she's supposed to be coming ... that'd be so nerve-racking," cast member Heather Morris said. "I like 'Toxic' the best or the 'Slave' video. It was always her best performance. She's rocking! I don't care what I do."

"I can tell you it's going to be a really great episode and you're going to love it. And they're doing the big hits from Britney," Amber Reilly, another Glee cast member, explained.

According to Murphy, the episode of Glee won’t make fun of the low points in Spears' life like when she shaved her hair.

“The Britney episode, I’m here to say, is so reverential about her and so kind, and it’s about her music and not about her personal life,” Murphy said.
