Britney Spears Reaches 5 Million Twitter Followers

Spears surpassed Ashton Kutcher earlier in the week

Twitter is going crazy as Britney Spears has now reached 5 million followers. This comes a week after surpassing Ashton Kutcher as Twitter-champion. Britney has 5,015,346 followers while Ashton is in second with 4,982,734.

She celebrated his position as the no. 1 “Tweeter” by answering fan questions earlier in the week. Among the highlights were three things she’d bring to a desert island were “boots, water and my CD collection,” her favorite song is “Toxic”, and she wants to do a duet with singer Robbie Williams.

Britney wrote to her fans, “This is really amazing! I love you all! I better get busy writing 4,947,608 thank you notes! U guys make me sooo happy (sic)."

Not to take credit away from Britney, but her team usually makes her tweets while Ashton personally makes his own. Mass-tweeter John Mayer has geared away from Twitter as he’s only tweeted once in the month of May.
