Britney Spears Recording New Album

The troubled singer will try to hit it big again.

Though her career has recently been overshadowed by her own personal struggles, Spears is once again attempting to push boundaries with a new album. Between hits like "Baby, Hit Me One More Time" and "Oops, I Did It Again," and flops, especially "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me" from her latest album, Blackout, the potential for Spears to maintain her star power is questionable. Nevertheless, the pop star is spending the summer in the recording studio, according to Reuters.

Spears is working with some of the best songwriters and producers, though that particular Dream Team has not been identified, according to Reuters.

Larry Rudolph, Spears's manager, and Jive Records have yet to announce a release date for the album.

Hopefully, Spears's anticipated comeback will be more successful than the one that failed miserably when Spears gave a lackluster performance at the MTV Music Video Awards last year.
