Britney Spears Will Act in CBS Sitcom

The pop star will try out her acting skills once again on the TV show, "How I Met Your Mother."

According to Us Magazine, Britney Spears will make a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, on March 24. It will be the pop star's first return to TV since her brief appearance on Will & Grace in 2006.

Spears will play the character of Abby, a receptionist at a dermatologist's office who pursues her crush on Ted when he comes in for an appointment.

Spears came into the studio on Monday where she read through the script and introduced herself to the cast and crew. She arrived sans paparazzi with only a few people with her, including her assistant and acting agent. The environment was allegedly kept fun and low-key.

Filming of the star's scenes will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Spears has expressed interest in the show and enjoyed reading the script of the episode she will appear in.
