Britney on the Verge of Breakdown

Is Britney Spears close to a complete breakdown? That's what the latest bizarre pictures of her seem to suggest. She turned up at an L.A. hairdresser's on Friday evening and asked for her head to be shaved, according to People.com. When staff refused her request, Britney took the electric clippers and started shearing off her own hair, as onlookers watched in horror through the shop window. Gone are Britney's long flowing locks, leaving behind a completely bald head.

Sporting her newly bald head, Britney then headed to a tattoo parlor in the L.A. suburb of Sherman Oaks. She got two tattoos there-one of a cross on her hip and the other, a pair of lips on her wrist. According to Usweekly.com, an employee at the tattoo parlor asked Britney why she shaved her head. Britney Spears answered with the odd reply, "I don't want anybody touching me. I'm tired of everybody touching me." The employee said it looked as though Britney was on the verge of a huge nervous breakdown.

Just months ago, Spears was still married and plotting a huge comeback album that was hoped to relaunch her career. Her hard-partying ways has upset fans, family, and friends alike. Last week, Britney's former publicist, Felicia Culotta, went public with her concerns for Britney. She posted a letter on her website claiming that she had tried to help Britney, but to no avail. She said that Britney's family and friends are extremely worried for the former teen pop icon, who may be in the middle of a terrible personal crisis.
