Britney's Lawyers Are Not Done With Her Yet
A hearing to determine whether Britney's child-custody attorneys will be allowed to withdraw, will resume next Tuesday.
E Online reports that attorneys Sorrell Trope and Anne Kiley were present in court today, asking judges to remove themselves from representing Britney in her ongoing custody battle with Kevin Federline.
It is alleged that the attorneys want to remove themselves from the case before Britney's father, Jamie Spears, has them forcefully relieved of their duties.
This marks the second time in many months that the law firm has sought to withdraw as counsel. Earlier in the case, Trope requested to be removed due to a "breakdown in communication" with Britney. However, both attorneys changed their minds and remained on board.
While no legal representation has been confirmed as a successor to Trope, there are reports that Laura Wasser, Spears' original custody attorney, who herself resigned last September, may return to represent the singer in the courtroom.
