Brittany Murphy’s Husband Died of Same Causes as Wife

It was already eerily strange that Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, died just five months after his wife passed away. However, The Los Angeles County Coroner has recently found that the cause of death for the husband and wife was the same - pneumonia and severe anemia.

Murphy has apparently died mainly from pneumonia but anemia and multiple drug intoxication were also leading factors. The cause of death for Monjack, according to Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter, was “just like Brittany,” according to People Magazine.

However, unlike Murphy, prescription drug toxin levels were not a leading factor that caused his death.

Even though the cause of death is almost certain, the official autopsy results have yet to be released.

Murphy died in December 2009, and Monjack died on May 23, 2010. Monjack and Murphy were buried next to each other at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
