Brittany Murphy Left Husband Out of the Will
Brittany Murphy didn’t leave any money to her husband Simon Monjack in her will.
The actress, who died from pneumonia last December at age 32, left her entire estate to her mother Sharon, according to TMZ.com
The site reports that years before Murphy married Monjack in 2007, she hand wrote a will leaving everything to her mother. The will was stored in her manager’s safe.
Monjack, however, isn’t surprised that he was left out. He told TMZ that before they married, Murphy’s formal will along with a trust, was drafted. At his request, the will specifically said, “I am married to Simon Monjack who I have intentionally left out of this will,” he said.
Following his wife’s death, Monjack has been under the public eye as rumors swirled that he and Murphy were have marriage problems prior to her death, and even worse, that he may have been the reason for her death. He told < href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebritynews/news/brittany-murphy-leaves-simon-monjack-out-of-her-will-201023">UsMagazine.com that he simply wanted people to leave him alone and “stop coming out with these ridiculous stories” about their relationship.
"Our marriage was dogged by these ridiculous rumors. Brittany's life was dogged by ridiculous rumors, and the truth always wins out," Monjack told the magazine.
"I hope people have the sense to really understand that everything was beautiful and wonderful in our relationship and so pure."
