Brittany's Death Devastated Family

Brittany Murphy's mother-in-law was the latest family member to speak up on the late actress.

Linda Monjack told The Jewish Chronicle that her son, Simon, was devastated by the sudden death.

“He has lost the love of his life. It’s very hard for everybody, especially Simon and Brittany’s mother," said Monjack. "I’ve spoken to her mother and she is distraught. Brittany was an only child and her mother was living with them.”

Murphy died on Sunday at the age of 32. An autopsy was performed on Tuesday, but results have not been released.

Simon Monjack denied rumors of drug use or eating disorders as cause of death.
