Broncos Offering Marshall Extension?
After an eventful offseason, the Denver Broncos better be ready to face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, reports CBSSports.com. The Broncos fired longtime head coach Mike Shanahan, hired new head coach Josh McDaniels, traded franchise quarterback Jay Cutler and suspended Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall due to insubordination.
According to Rotoworld, the Denver Broncos are entertaining the idea of giving Marshall a contract extension, but for now, they are in "wait and see" mode.
At least the two parties are now on speaking terms, reports ESPN. Adam Schefter reports that a new contract would be more in line with what other top NFL wide receivers earn. Marshall had previously been demanding a trade from Denver, but his desire to leave the Broncos has subsided since talks of a possible extension arose.
