Brooke Meuller arrested for drug possession after alleged assault

Actress Brooke Meuller, Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, was arrested on felony cocaine possession in Aspen, Colo. The 34-year-old was arrested after she allegedly assaulted a woman at a local bar. After she was arrested, police say they found four grams of cocaine in her possession.

The Aspen Times reports that the incident happened late Friday night. Police were doing a routine check at the Belly Up Aspen bar when a woman claimed that she was assaulted by Meuller. Police did not find her at that bar at that moment, finding her about a half an hour later at a dance club, where they arrested her.

Meuller’s full list of charges include a class-four felony charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and a class-one misdemeanor for third-degree assault, police told The Aspen Times. Chief Deputy Assistant District Attorney Arnold Mordkin did confirm, “It is alleged that she had in excess of 4 grams of cocaine, gross weight,” to the paper, but would not go into further details. Police also declined to go into detail about the alleged incident at the bar.

According to The Los Angeles Times, after Meuller was booked, she was released on $11,000 bail and will be due back in court later this month.

TMZ reports that it is close to two years since Sheen and Meuller were involved in a domestic violence case where Meuller alleged that Sheen had beaten her. Meuller, who divorced Sheen earlier this year, has visited rehab numerous times since the incident.

The L.A. Times reports that it is unknown who has custody of Sheen and Meuller’s twins, Bob and Max, right now.

An insider close to Meuller told The Huffington Post, "No one can get through to her....Not her parents. Not Charlie. Even the thought of losing her twins isn't enough to keep her sober."
