Bruce Lee theme park to be build in China
Park will include a statue and memorial hall
A theme park with statue and memorial hall will be built in Bruce Lee's ancestral hometown, the president of his fan club told the Associated Press.
The park will be built in Shunde and will contain a marital arts academy and conference center, Wong Yiu-keung, chairman of the Hong Kong-based Bruce Lee Club told the AP.
Wong told the wire service he could not confirm an Apple Daily newspaper report that said the park was budgeted at $25.5 million and was expected to be completed in three years. Wong added he attended the laying of the foundation of the theme park, a ceremony that featured many of Lee's family members.
Lee died in Hong Kong in 1973 and was famous for his martial arts movies, "Enter the Dragon" and "Fists of Fury."
