The 2012 Grammy Awards are right around the corner, and the producers are really trying to pack the show with lots of star power and impact performances from A-List artists. Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Coldplay Foot Fighters, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Paul McCartney and several others have already been tapped for the big night, and now another has been added to the mix.

Bruce Springsteen, who is set to release his new album Wrecking Ball on March 6 and begin his U.S. tour with the E Street Band later that month, will perform with his band at the Grammys on Feb. 12. The Los Angeles Times reported that unlike many of the other musical acts for the night, Springsteen isn't nominated for any new work, but does have a new album right around the corner and new music to promote.

The album and new tour will be the first since the passing of beloved saxophone player Clarence "Big Man" Clemons, who died in June from complications for a stroke. "We Take Care of Our Own," is the first single off the new album.

The news of Springsteen's performance came shortly after the announcement that Adele, who like Springsteen has not performed in quite a while, would also be performing at the awards show. MTV reported that the singer is excited about her first performance since her surgery.

"I'm immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year's Grammy Awards," she said. "It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it."

With the amount of star-power and variety the Grammy's have booked for these performances, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for there to be several collaborations and special performances. The show, which has not had a host in many years, will be hosted by LL Cool J.
