Bruce Springsteen Will Give Giants Stadium Its Last Performances

Bruce Springsteen will say goodbye to condemned Giants Stadium with three concerts this fall.

Bruce Springsteen is set to bid farewell to Giants Stadium in New Jersey through three performances with the E Street Band in the arena this fall.

Springsteen announced the shows that will take place September 30 and October 2 and 3 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Thursday night, Reuters reports.

The shows will occur shortly before condemned Giants Stadium is to be razed, making way for the new $1.3 billion home for the New York Giants, Entertainment Weekly reports. According to Rolling Stone, the Springsteen concerts will be the Giants Stadium's last, and tickets go on sale June 1, at 10 a.m. EDT.

Springsteen's current North American tour ends this Saturday at the Izod Center. The Boss and the E Street band will then head to Europe before returning to the states for the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenessee beginning June 11.
