Bruno vs. Borat
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sacha Baron Cohen's new film, "Bruno," is no "Borat." The film review said that "Bruno" was only intermittently funny and that the run-ins with celebrities and civilians look staged. "We all knew Borat. Borat was a friend of ours. Bruno, you're no Borat," wrote the Hollywood Reporter.
Cohen's character is a flamboyantly gay Austrian fashion correspondent and is set to hit theaters on July 10, according to the Associated Press.
Due to Michael Jackson's sudden death on Thursday, a scene with La Toya Jackson has now been deleted from the movie. "Bruno's" movie premiere took place just hours after Jackson's death. According to the Associated Press, Universal removed the scene out of respect for the family.
In the film, La Toya hangs out awhile with Bruno, who asks her if she will introduce him to her brother, Michael. She tries to dodge his questions, but he eventually gets her cell phone and reads off Michael's number to his assistant in German.
