Bryce Dallas Howard Joins "Twilight" Series
According to sources at Summit Entertainment, Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Rachelle Lefevre in the role of Victoria in the "Twilight" series, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Lefevre played Victoria in the first film and in the sequel, "New Moon," but has had to step aside due to scheduling conflicts. Howard will play the part for the third film, "Eclipse."
"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions for Summit Entertainment Erik Feig said in a statement on Tuesday.
Howard most recently appeared in "Terminator Salvation" alongside Christian Bale.
According to E! Online, filming on "Eclipse" will begin next month in Vancouver and is due in theaters June 30, 2010.
The third installment of the "Twilight" saga will also feature another newcomer, Xavier Samuel as Riley, who is seduced by villainous vampire Victoria.
You can see Lefevre's last performance as Victoria when "New Moon" hits theaters Nov. 20.
