Bryce Dallas Howard Kept Pregnancy Weight for Film Role

After giving birth to her son, Howard was told to keep her pregnancy weight.

Celebrities are constantly under pressure to look their best, and keep excess weight off of their body. This kind of scrutiny can be especially difficult for new mothers in Hollywood trying to regain their post-baby body. However, one new mom who is not feeling the need to succumb to such standards is actress Bryce Dallas Howard. For her role in the film, Terminator Salvation, Howard was encouraged to maintain the weight she gained during her pregnancy.

After giving birth to son Theo, 2, Howard won the role of Kate, who just so happens to be 8 months pregnant in the film.

"Naturally just after a woman has a baby she starts to lose weight," Howard told People magazine. "[Director] McG was throwing cookies at me the whole time, 'You're still eight months pregnant [in the film]! Be careful! Continuity!'" Howard said.

Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale and Bryce Dallas Howard, opens in theaters May 21.
