Bullet for CNN Commentator Spooks Ariz. Sheriff

The safety of Sheriff Joe Arpaio becomes a priority due to crackdown on illegal immigration.

After a bullet struck CNN commentator Lou Dobbs' New Jersey home on Oct. 5, Dobbs was quick to connect the mystery bullet to his vocal opinions against illegal immigration. Granted, he had been receiving threatening phone calls earlier this month for the comments made on his nationally syndicated radio show. His wife was outside on the porch when the shot was fired and the bullet reportedly hit their attic.

New Jersey police are still investigating with no reported leads. It was, however, noted that small-game hunting season is in effect. In other words, this case may take a while.

The incident has caused a stir all the way in Arizona, where the security of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, also known for his anti-immigration stance, is being taken into consideration.

Spokesman Ryan Lee expressed deep worry for the sheriff's safety, noting the multiple protests stemming Arpaio's public opinions alone.

It is still being decided whether Arpaio's security should be heightened and if so, by how much.
