Bullock Reflects Back On One Of The Greatest Years Of Her Career

Actress Sandra Bullock received two Golden Globe nominations earlier this week for her role in “The Blind Side”

2009 has proved to be an exceptionally positive and successful year for actress Sandra Bullock both in her personal life as well as her professional life. Her husband, reality television personality Jesse James, won a heated custody battle for his five-year-old daughter earlier this year and a request for extended custody from his ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, was denied by California court in early December.

To go along with the triumphs that have occurred in her relationship, Bullock’s career has been revitalized due to her critically acclaimed role in the film “The Blind Side”, which has generated over $150 million since it was released in theatres according to CNN.com. The film, which is based on the inspiring life story of Baltimore Ravens right tackle Michael Oher, has been popular amongst moviegoers as well as film critics.

It was revealed earlier this week that Bullock has been nominated for two Golden Globes under the categories for Best Actress in a Drama and Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. The nomination for Best Actress in a Drama was for her role in “The Blind Side” while her nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical was for her role in “The Proposal”.

Bullock commented on her two Golden Globe nominations by saying, “I am beyond stunned. Just to be included in the company of these amazing women I have so admired through the years has left me slack-jawed with awe.”
