Bulls Win Game 5
After falling behind three games to none to the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls have begun to fight their way back, winning their second game in a row tonight, 108-92.
With the victory, the Bulls are now right back in the series, trailing only three games to two.
In the first three games of the series, the Bulls were marred by their anemic play on offense, failing to score more than 87 points in all three games. But in games four and five, the Bulls have begun to find their rhythm, scoring 102 and 108 points, respectively.
This was seen tonight, as the Bulls shot 57 percent as a team from the field. The Pistons, on the other hand, only shot 42 percent.
The Bulls were led by Ben Gordon, who scored a game-high 28 points on 10-16 shooting, including 5-6 from three-point range. Point guard Kirk Hinrich also chipped in with 17 points and 13 assists.
The Pistons were led by Chauncey Billups. He scored a team-high 17 points, but was only 5-12 from the field. For the night, Billups and his backcourt partner, Richard Hamilton, combined to shoot 38 percent.
The teams will now head back to Chicago for game six, where the Bulls will try to tie the series at three games apiece. If the Bulls go on to win the series, they will become the only team in the history of the NBA to comeback from a three games to none deficit.
