Burke to take over for Harris

Brooke Burke to co-host on 'Dancing with the Stars',

An old face will be reappearing on Dancing with the Stars but this time it will be as a host rather than a contestant. Winner of season 7 of the show along with her partner Derek Hough in 2008, Brooke Burke will be taking Samantha Harris’s place in the upcoming season 10.

Since Harris’s announcement to step down from hosting Dancing with the Stars, many have wondered who would take her place backstage with the interviews. The answer came Monday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America.

This will not be Burke’s first hosting job. She has hosted E!’s Wild On! series, Rock Star: INXS, and TV Land’s She’s Got the Look.

She will begin hosting with Tom Bergeron on March 22 at the premiere of season 10.

Other hosts that were rumored to take Harris’s place included season 2 winner Drew Lachey, Paula Abdul, and Miss Piggy. It would be an interesting season with a pig as a co-host, but it looks like it is not to be.
