Burton Displays Artwork at MoMA
Tim Burton, director of many movies such as "Edward Scissorhands" and "Sweeney Todd," was well appreciated at New York's Museum of Modern Art where he showed drawings, puppets, and paintings that featured characters and scenes from many of his films.
The gala Tuesday night gave viewers a preview of artwork that would be shown. Shown in the exhibit is artwork from many of Burton's movies as well as some of his student artwork and artwork from his early non-professional films. Movie artwork included items from "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Batman Returns."
Supporting Burton at the gala was actress (and mother of his children) Helena Bonham Carter, actors Johnny Depp, who is a common collaborator with Burton, and Danny DeVito, and composer Danny Elfman.
Burton's exhibit will be open from November 22 to April 26.
