Busta Rhymes Leaves Interscope

The rapper has joined Universal Motown.

Busta Rhymes, who, ten years ago, was one of the hottest rappers in the game, has left Interscope and joined Universal Motown.

His upcoming album, which was called Blessed, on his old label, will now be called B.O.M.B. and will be released on December 9. This news comes via a label spokesperson.

In July, the news about Rhymes's departure from Aftermath/Intercope broke on 50 Cent's Web site, ThisIs50.com. The report said that Rhymes had been dropped from the label, but neither Rhymes nor the label confirmed or denied that report.

Rhymes finally spoke up last week, when he was at New York radio station Hot 97, informing listeners, "Me and Dre are still good, even though I'm not in business with Aftermath or Interscope."

Rhymes went on to say that B.O.M.B. stands for "Back on My Bulls**t" and his new single (which was recently leaked) will be called "Arab Money."

Rhymes made one album on Aftermath, The Big Bang, which came out in 2006 and had moderate success.
